Miscellany Monday

one - My Mimi is one hot mama.  I would of course never reveal her age, but let's just say she is kickin it.

two - The weekend with my mom, Mimi, and little sisters was just what I needed.  We had lots of fun at the pool & sitting around the house.  The many meals on the porch was such a blessing.

three - Saturday night, Lance & I took my family & his parents out to dinner to Old MacDonald's Fish Camp in North Augusta, SC.  I was expecting to show off the local Gypsies, but unfortunately none were in attendance.  Instead, I focused on the wonderful broiled scallops in front of my face.

four - 4th of July is coming up this weekend, and we have no plans yet.  Boo.  But whatever we decide to do, I will have to jump back on the wagon I fell off of this past weekend.  My Sunday night ended with a Krispy Kreme Chocolate Covered Kreme Filled doughnut.  Oh yes.

five - My Topsy Turvy is producing lots of little tomatoes for me and I can't wait to pick a few, probably this weekend.  Thumbs up for Topsy Turvys.

Early mornings

My body doesn't understand that on Saturdays & Sundays I don't have to go to work.  I remember in my college days, on the weekends I would sleep until noon..ish.  These days, as an old married woman, I wake up at times around 7:00 a.m. on the weekend.  What the heck is wrong with me?  I guess it is a good thing though.  Typically I do my regular shopping routine on Saturday.  I hit up Kohl's, Target, Macy's, Hobby Lobby, Kroger...all of my fave places.  Today, unfortunately, since I am broke, waking up early means eating a bowl of cereal with a cup of coffee and entertaining myself with episodes of The Golden Girls and the occasionally refresh of Facebook.  Lance is working night shift this weekend, so he isn't awake to entertain me.

One thing I have been meaning to blog about are the wish list items for our house. I wanted to put this wishlist in an official document (my blog is so official) so that I could try to stick with it and make it happen.

Item 1:  China Cabinet - we got so much stuff from our wedding, and I want some room to display all of it.  Right now we only have a buffet in our dining room, along with a table of course, and this would be a perfect fit.

Item 2:  Porch on the back of our house - I would have to take a picture of the back of our neighbor's house to be able to provide an example.  Just use your imagination.

Item 3:  Day bed or full bed for my office - We have a four bedroom house, and I would like to make the best of all that room when our guests come.   But I really enjoy this room being my office/storage/craft room so I wouldn't want the bed to take up much space.

Item 4:  New kitchen table - photo courtesy of Pottery Barn which means I will never own this set but a girl can dream.

These are just a few of the items, but these are the big ones...I can't wait to win the lottery so that I can furnish our house!!!

Ok, need to get back to the Golden Girls!
