Miscellany Monday
one - My Mimi is one hot mama. I would of course never reveal her age, but let's just say she is kickin it.
two - The weekend with my mom, Mimi, and little sisters was just what I needed. We had lots of fun at the pool & sitting around the house. The many meals on the porch was such a blessing.
three - Saturday night, Lance & I took my family & his parents out to dinner to Old MacDonald's Fish Camp in North Augusta, SC. I was expecting to show off the local Gypsies, but unfortunately none were in attendance. Instead, I focused on the wonderful broiled scallops in front of my face.
four - 4th of July is coming up this weekend, and we have no plans yet. Boo. But whatever we decide to do, I will have to jump back on the wagon I fell off of this past weekend. My Sunday night ended with a Krispy Kreme Chocolate Covered Kreme Filled doughnut. Oh yes.
five - My Topsy Turvy is producing lots of little tomatoes for me and I can't wait to pick a few, probably this weekend. Thumbs up for Topsy Turvys.
Need help developing a signature,
Callie

Terrific Tuesday
This Tuesday has been terrific so far. I started out this morning working my butt off to Jillian's Shred DVD and to reward myself, I stopped by Starbucks to pick up my favorite drink...
All a girl could ask for, all mixed up in a cute little cup, the wonderful, fantastic & of course, terrific Skinny Vanilla Latte. Yum yum. And to top it off, this bad boy only costs me 3 WW points, same as my little 8 oz glass of OJ. Oh yes, terrific.

Miscellany Monday
In an effort to make more friends in the Blogging world, I'm going to participate in more of these things! So here's a first to making this effort!
1. Action packed weekend started out with seeing Green Lantern (on opening night, not normal for me) with the hubster Friday night. All I need to say is Ryan Reynolds...period.
2. Saturday I helped a coworker move into her beautiful new home. It was a lot of fun helping out with the process. It was also great to be able to see her son, sit in the Cracker Barrel rocking chairs that a group of us bought for them!
3. After the cleaning/moving process, my stomach was telling me that I had to go to Wild Wings!! Now, considering that I'm on Weight Watchers, this wasn' the brightest idea, but you know...
4. Once our bellies were full, we went to go browse the car lots to see some of the SUVs that we were interested in. Nothing is taking my mind off the beautiful 2011 Ford Explorer though...
5. And finally, Sunday was spent with Lance's dad & family....including this little precious munchkin that I just can't get enough of!
Lake Oconee
I think I do better with picture blogs than I do with words. I was always the kid (and now adult) who prefers to pick up a book/magazine and look through at all the pictures and skip the stories. I'm working on becoming a better reader, but like everything, that will come with time. I realize this post is a little late, but I wanted to capture the fun we had over Memorial Day with my parents. We rented a lake house at Lake Oconee and we shared the weekend with family, including my in-laws! I love that we are all one big happy family now...that really makes it concrete that Lance is the one for me! So here is the recap from our long weekend at the lake.
View from the porch...the whole peninsula was ours!
The wonderful porch that we sat on for 3/4ths of our trip.
The one & only Mickey Gordon, my daddy!
Me & my sister, Haley...she hated my hat so that made me want to wear it more!
Me & my main man chilling on the porch
Lance caught the biggest fish over the long weekend! He was so proud!
My feet and white legs...but at least I got a pretty decent tan while laying out!
Front view of the house...very nice house!
Nasty lake water...I mean, oh look at the beautiful lake!
I shared my home grown tomatoes with everyone during our BBQ lunch.

3.1 miles
Yesterday, I participated in my first 5k!! The Virginia Highland Summerfest 5K was a killer!!
Due to several difficulties, I unfortunately ended up walking for 5 minutes (out of 42 minutes, 52 seconds, not so bad right?) but I completed the race and that is all that counts!!
With the the help of my friends, Kathryn & Bryant, I am now proud to officially say I'm a runner!! I see many more 5Ks and maybe even bigger races ahead.
Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure...
Pre-race, very excited and not as sweaty
Lance captured my time as I was running through the finish line
Kathryn finished within 35 minutes, but she came back to support me to the end (thanks again, Kathryn...you were my saving grace!)
Needless to say, I was tired!
Running buddies!!
