I like to move it, move it

Today is my Friday!  We've got a long weekend ahead of us, but at least I am off tomorrow.  We'll be heading down to the big ole city of Albany (4 hours south) to hang out with the fam and to pack up my mom's stuff.  She's moving to Tallahassee (2 additional hours south).   Saturday will be a loooonnngg day of moving furniture in the heat, but it will be worth it to help get my mom and little sisters set up.  I've been missing my sisters.. I love these goobers so much!!

Another highlight of my weekend will be eating at Chipotle!!  I crave it all the time, and unfortunately Augusta hasn't got the memo that I need a Chipotle to survive.  I've already informed everybody that I WILL be eating there this weekend.  I mean, look at this goodness all snuggled up in a bowl!!!!!!!  Oh gosh, I gotta stop thinking about this for now.  Chicken burrito bowl, we will meet again Saturday!!  I am so excited....can you tell?!?

So needless to say, my weekend will be filled with lots of love, driving all over the state, and much needed time with my family.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Until the next time,
Callie

InstaFriday

life rearranged

Link up the everyday moments of your week!

I can't believe, this is a record for me.  This is my third blog this week!  Unfortunately, work has been very slow this week so I've had some spare time.  I can't stand having too much free time....I know, I'm weird!

My little sister starts high school next year.  It has been very hard for me to comprehend this...I can only imagine how tough it will be when I have my own kids.  Mags was born when I was in 8th grade.  She was so teeny tiny, and just so darn cute as a kid.  Last few years, she has really become a teenager and has pulled away from me a bit.  I don't talk to her much these days because she seems to be so busy with extracurricular activities and her friends.  Makes me sad sometimes, but I know she is just going through a phase.  She is all over the Internet, as most teens are these days, and I stumbled upon her Instagram post the other day...made me tear up a bit.  I think you can see why below:

I've been a bit down past few weeks, months, I don't know how long really.  Been struggling with my weight, dieting, working out, pimples, getting old, etc.  Life seems to be catching up with me.  I took this photo the other day on my way to work because I actually felt pretty.  Really took to share with the hubster, but I thought I would include here as well.  Life is good!  I need to remember that.

I took an extra long lunch break yesterday and got a mani/pedi.  Just what I needed!  And of course I had to have good looking nails for my girls weekend coming up.  I wear OPI Cajun Shrimp all spring/summer/most of fall/okay all year long.  I tried to change it up, but I just can't.  This is my fave color!

Yum.  Delicious Coffee Toffee cake from Boll Weevil after a delicious dinner with friends the other weekend.  I couldn't resist!

And getting to see this girl tomorrow!!!  I haven't seen Kimmie in several years as she has been living in South Korea.  Looking forward to spending some quality time with her and having lots of fun at the concert.

Until the next time,
Callie

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

one - My Mimi is one hot mama.  I would of course never reveal her age, but let's just say she is kickin it.

two - The weekend with my mom, Mimi, and little sisters was just what I needed.  We had lots of fun at the pool & sitting around the house.  The many meals on the porch was such a blessing.

three - Saturday night, Lance & I took my family & his parents out to dinner to Old MacDonald's Fish Camp in North Augusta, SC.  I was expecting to show off the local Gypsies, but unfortunately none were in attendance.  Instead, I focused on the wonderful broiled scallops in front of my face.

four - 4th of July is coming up this weekend, and we have no plans yet.  Boo.  But whatever we decide to do, I will have to jump back on the wagon I fell off of this past weekend.  My Sunday night ended with a Krispy Kreme Chocolate Covered Kreme Filled doughnut.  Oh yes.

five - My Topsy Turvy is producing lots of little tomatoes for me and I can't wait to pick a few, probably this weekend.  Thumbs up for Topsy Turvys.

Need help developing a signature,

Lake Oconee

I think I do better with picture blogs than I do with words.  I was always the kid (and now adult) who prefers to pick up a book/magazine and look through at all the pictures and skip the stories.  I'm working on becoming a better reader, but like everything, that will come with time.  I realize this post is a little late, but I wanted to capture the fun we had over Memorial Day with my parents.  We rented a lake house at Lake Oconee and we shared the weekend with family, including my in-laws!  I love that we are all one big happy family now...that really makes it concrete that Lance is the one for me!  So here is the recap from our long weekend at the lake.

View from the porch...the whole peninsula was ours!

The wonderful porch that we sat on for 3/4ths of our trip.

The one & only Mickey Gordon, my daddy!

Me & my sister, Haley...she hated my hat so that made me want to wear it more!

Me & my main man chilling on the porch

Lance caught the biggest fish over the long weekend!  He was so proud!

My feet and white legs...but at least I got a pretty decent tan while laying out!

Front view of the house...very nice house!

Nasty lake water...I mean, oh look at the beautiful lake!

I shared my home grown tomatoes with everyone during our BBQ lunch.
